              Event Description:
              • Stop in between 5-7 pm to learn more about the HiSET and ELA programs offered through Clinton Community College
              • Free dinner will be provided to all attendees and their kids
              • Children’s program available during information night
              Eastern Iowa Community Colleges Adult Education and Literacy Program provides Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency, and English Language Acquisition instruction.

              Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes develop reading, writing, speaking and math skills. Programming is designed to help anyone 17 years of age or older, who is not enrolled in high school, to take the steps necessary toward passing the High School Equivalency Test.

              ELA classes expand English communication skills for students who are not native English speakers. Classroom, small group and computer instruction are designed to promote reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Students learn about personal communication, conducting business, work-related communication, and civic engagement.
