Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison IL, held their annual Mother's Day Tea on Thursday, May 11th, 2023.
"There were approximately 150 attendees; it is a very popular event" stated Karla Burn, Marketing Director. Tawnya Denning,
Resthave dietary manager, with a few of her kitchen staff, made beautiful, decadent desserts for the event. Resthave employee Kris Muur, headed up the decorating along with her sister Kim Straight and many additional volunteers. "Because we set up and tear done all in one day, it is all hands on deck", Burn said. "We are very thankful for our hard-working staff and volunteers, whom we could not have a successful event without!"
Hats were available for the ladies to wear for their Mother's Day Portraits that featured a beautiful back drop. A poem was read by Resthave Activity Director, Dawn Stuart and a song was sung by Resthave Employee Alexandria Bullard to kick off the event.
Tea was served and beautiful China dishes were in abundance. "It is a wonderful time for the ladies to get together to visit, catch up and reminisce. It is one of Resthave's staff's favorite events" Burn stated.
