It’s time to start making preparations for Grow Clinton Biz After 5 events in 2025. If you remember my last article, I wrote all about the importance of change, how we need to embrace it, and support others who are trying to implement it. That said, I’m here to tell you how we’ll be booking Biz After 5 events for the new year!
In an effort to be completely fair to new members, members with tenure, repeat hosts, etc., we will be holding a lottery in the fall to determine host businesses for Biz After 5 in 2025. In October, we will be selecting businesses from a hat who have expressed interest in hosting these networking events in the future. Each business selected will get to select their desired month in the order drawn based on what is still available. Sounds like a fun game, right? I invite you, the business members of our organization, to please email me your interest in hosting a Biz After 5 event by the end of September! Email marketing@growclinton.com
While Biz events are a perk of your membership, the reality is that we can only host 8-9/year. An idea I have to share with you all…get ready, because it involves more change… is that if you are chosen, consider another business member that you would like to partner with. Team up with them on refreshments, divide the preparation tasks, split the costs, etc. It’s an easy way to get more members involved and also in turn makes the planning process easier for everyone. It’s a win-win! And a huge bonus for me is that I get to promote 2 (or more!) businesses each month for these events instead of just one.
I’m excited to see how this goes, because like with all change, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. But THANK YOU for rolling with me on some of these things we’re trying and stay tuned for the 2025 line-up of Biz After 5 events! Check my future articles for the scheduled Biz After 5s.
