Do you ever look at some of our photos and wonder who the people are in the red coats? I know most of you just said ‘yes’ to yourselves while reading this. Maybe you’ve noticed the red in the photos but didn’t realize there was a significance – it’s not just a coincidental wardrobe choice! Maybe some of you already know who they are – and that’s great!
The people wearing red are Grow Clinton’s Ambassadors. They are volunteers who play a vital role in our organization by supporting our ribbon cutting events, Biz After 5 events, and just generally speaking, our member businesses. I like to think of them as an elite group of community members that we rely on for several things:
· welcoming new businesses to our community
· providing word of mouth advertising that promotes all members
· explaining what we do as an organization and encouraging businesses to join
· retaining business members
· and much more!!
Another cool thing is that our Ambassadors recently were seen in action on Iowa PBS! That’s right. Gabi Torres was recently featured on Iowa Life for her placemaking efforts throughout Clinton County and Grow Clinton’s ribbon cutting for The Grove made the cut! Watch the video on Iowa Life, but pay close attention around the 3:27 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMpFRp41KUA
The Ambassador role is an important one and vital to our success. Simply put, they are forward facing advocates in the community for Grow Clinton and our members. Are you interested in becoming one? There’s ONE requirement: you must work for a Grow Clinton member. After all, ambassadors are implementing our mission throughout the community. Reach out and find out more about what all it entails.
