As Grow Clinton’s Vice President of Community & Economic Development, Matt Parbs stated in his previous article, Grow Clinton has a network or a roundtable for everything. We aim to meet the needs of our members, and one way of doing so is by incorporating roundtables and networking events on a monthly basis to bring different groups together, whether that be human resource professionals, manufacturing plant managers, veterans, or entrepreneurs.
Coming up later this month on Thursday, May 23rd, Grow Clinton in conjunction with the DeWitt Chamber and Development Company will host our second quarter Clinton County Veteran’s Network at the AmVets Club Post 28 located at 1317 S 17th Street in Clinton. The goal of these veteran networks is to gather our local veterans at local establishments to connect and support one another. It is also important that our veterans are informed of the services available to them.
The nation’s adult population is made up of 6.2% veterans, the state of Iowa is just above that national average at 6.4%, and Clinton County’s population is made up of 9% veterans according to United States Census Bureau.
If you would like more information about the Clinton County Veteran’s Networks or would like to sponsor an event please contact Stacy Borgeson at Sborgeson@GrowClinton.com.
An RSVP is requested to ensure there is enough food for all guests. Please register via https://qrco.de/CCVetNet or call the Grow Clinton office at 563-242-5702.
