Welcoming Nestlé Purina Petcare Interns: A Day of Community, Culture, and Connection

This past week, I had the pleasure of welcoming a vibrant group of Nestlé Purina Petcare interns (most of which have only been here for 2 weeks) to our community—a visit filled with learning, laughter, and local flavor. These young professionals come from coast to coast and all across the United States, California to Pennsylvania, North Carolina to Illinois, and Tennessee to Minnesota.

We wanted to show them the heartbeat of the community that surrounds and supports the work we all do. We started the day with a community tour of the City of Clinton, highlighting some local Clinton staples such as Eagle Point Park, The Showboat Theatre, and NelsonCorp Field.

It was clear from the start they were eager to learn, engage, and ask meaningful questions. I was extremely impressed by their desire to seek volunteer opportunities in the area for the time they will be spending here.

We finished up our time with lunch at Rastrelli’s Restaurant. As everyone gathered around the table, conversations flowed effortlessly. It was exciting to hear the interns share their backgrounds, goals, and insights from their time at Nestlé Purina Petcare so far.

We were equally inspired by their curiosity, professionalism, and commitment to making a difference. Hosting them reminded us of the importance of building bridges between industry and community—one conversation and one experience at a time.

To the Nestlé interns—thank you for spending the day with us. We hope this community has given you new perspectives, a few fresh ideas, and memories to carry forward in your careers. Our doors are always open!

Nestlé Purina Petcare is fortunate to have this talented group, and Clinton is lucky to have them here too!
